To Buy List: February
My February beauty to-buy list is getting longer by the day. These are the products that I’m currently lusting after.
There’s no disguising it; this stuff is expensive. Having said that, I am constantly hearing rave reviews on the stuff and if it’s good enough to be a supermodel staple then quite frankly it’s good enough for me. This has a whopping eleven essential oils and is said to sink into the skin without leaving any kind of residue. Mixing a few drops with your daily moisturiser will make this wonder product last even longer.
Created by Elle Macphearson, this is a daily greens-based supplement powder. Free from any nasties it is packed with vitamins, Chinese herbs, enzymes and pre and probiotics which helps boost the body’s optimal functionality resulting in higher energy levels, beautiful hair and skin and controlling bodyweight.
I’m faring rather well on my quest for hair-perfection. I have seen a gigantic three inches of growth since my monumental chop in late November. Oribe’s Gold Lust Repair & Restore Conditioner is free from parabens and sulphates. It contains caffeine to encourage growth, shea butter, argan oil and maracuja oil to soften, heal and hydrate hair. The ingredients alone are well worth giving this a shot.
Ever since I was small, detangling spray has been my best friend. It saved me from one temper tantrum too many after hours spent swimming in my grandmothers pool. O&M is a more grown up version filled with goodies to not only detangle your hair but seal in extra nourishment and moisture before drying.
It’s common knowledge that I love nude nails, not light pink, not French tips but a good nude (preferably one that closely resembles skin colour). Dior has a beautiful collection of limited edition goodies for spring but Lady has to be the star of the show. This is one of the most perfect shades of nude that I have ever seen. It’s limited edition so I’ll be snapping this up on the double.
I love a good facial mist and believe me I’ve tried a fair few. These work beautifully before moisturiser, after applying makeup or during the day as a refresher. This is said to instantly revive lethargic skin which could be a godsend at 5pm when we all need a little pick-me-up (or even travelling).
Along with Dior, Guerlain has the most magnificent spring beauty collection. I have always been a huge fan of the Meteorites to add a subtle glow to the face but this limited edition Perles De Blush is quite spectacular. This is said to give a natural, flushed appearance to the cheeks which instantly injects life and vibrancy into the face.
