Sephora VIB Sale - SLS Style

Roll up, roll up. Just as I had settled into my self-imposed beauty ban, I get an email letting me know that Sephora’s biannual VIB sale is about to commence. Never one to miss out on a deal I’ve compiled a list of what I will be buying including some gifts for family and friends. This is a great time to pick up a full-size bottle of your favourite fragrances, beauty staples and a few new goodies for good measure (FYI. Sephora has a GREAT return policy).

Drunk Elephant T.L.C Sukari Baby Facial

I’ve always wanted to try out Drunk Elephant skincare, their ethos is to avoid any toxic substances and keep their products as ‘clean’ as possible. T.L.C Sukari Baby Facial is probably their most raved about product. It’s a face mask that gently exfoliates and resurfaces the skin leaving you with clear, soft skin and drastically reducing pores, fine lines and wrinkles. Perhaps this could be the product to kick Sunday Riley’s Good Genes off of my bathroom shelf.

Drunk Elephant B-Hydra Intensive Hydration Gel

Another goodie from Drunk Elephant. This is an intense hydrating serum for parched skin (which for me comes hand in hand with the falling temperatures of late). B-Hydra Intensive Hydration Gel is formulated to deliver 24hour moisture whilst brightening the skin. This sounds like the perfect product to use under moisturiser or SPF.

Sol de Janeiro Catch the Bum Bum Wave

With a name like this, the product would have to be from Brazil. I have heard rave reviews on Bum Bum Cream but have avoided buying it as I thought it sounded a little gimmicky – whose the sucker now? This is meant to be a silky, luxuriously rich moisturiser which also includes guarana which tightens and smooths skin. This little trio would be great stocking stuffers or to use for travelling.

Tatcha Violet-C Radiance Mask

This is a creamy mask which is used for brightening and plumping the skin. I’ve been told that this is the perfect mask to use pre-event as it leaves your skin hydrated, plumped and (surprise, surprise) radiant making it the perfect canvas for makeup. If all else fails, I’ll have a trick up my sleeve to surprise my two year old when mommy hangs out at home with a purple face.

Kopari Coconut Melt

I’m still on the fence with this one – I do want to try it but I wonder how different this will be to using the good old-fashioned coconut oil. Once again, I’m the sucker. Kopari’s Coconut Melt is said to turn weather worn skin into spun silk instantaneously and after noticing how dry my body has become with the constant use of heathers and skipping out on my daily moisturising, this may just be what the dr ordered.

Dr Jart Tarot of Masks

I’m a fully-fledged sheet mask addict and I have been chomping on the bit to try out Dr Jart’s various masks. This Tarot of Masks set is the perfect way to introduce myself with the brand and try out seven different formulations – you quite literally have a different mask for a different skin concern for every day of the week (overkill perhaps?). I’ve picked up a few more of these guys for Christmas presents as I’m still yet to meet someone who will turn down a sheet mask – husbands included.

As you can tell, I have avoided hoarding makeup (skincare, no problem). However, I would recommend picking up a backup of your favourite foundation and if there’s an extortionate eyeshadow palette or a La Mer powder you’ve always wanted to try – here’s your opportunity. I would also suggest looking into fragrances as these never go on sale and it could be a good way to cross off some of your Christmas shopping.
