Isabel Marant F/W 2015
Posted on March 7th, 2015
Firstly, I want to apologise for my hiatus. Life has become incredibly busy for me of late, my husband and I decided to move last minute, redecorate and revamp our entire lives. I can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel and after days filled browsing towels in Peter Jones and having furniture delivered I’m back online to give SLSstyle some much needed TLC and attention.
Back to fashion week; I’ve been incredibly underwhelmed by what I’ve seen so far. Out of the plethora of shows I have a small handful of favourites and I don’t anticipate that this will grow any time soon, this is probably good news for my bank account in the upcoming months.
True to form, Isabel Marant made my cut. On a day-to-day basis I wear a lot of IM; it’s comfortable, chic and easy to wear (almost to the point of being thoughtless which works well for me especially when I have an early start). Her pieces look best with unfussy hair and natural makeup. The recent collection for fall/winter 2015 was filled with statement jackets, floaty skirts, pretty mini dresses, heavy boots and chunky knitwear…what we’ve known to love and expect from the brand. Like all the Isabel Marant pieces that I’ve purchased they have such a wonderful longevity and seem to transcend seasons (again who doesn’t like that).
These are my favourite picks:
